I grew up in a small town in Russia, playing piano and cultivating flowers on my balcony.
Since my young age I was captivated by ability of human body to heal itself without medication, only by special diet and the state of mind. I remember, when I had cold, my mom treated me with herbs and special diet, so I get better each time.
In my teens, I was always attracted by books about natural healing systems as Shiatsu, medical fasting and herbology.
When I moved in Canada, I learned about Acupuncture and was fascinated by the holistic approach to human body and mind throw this healing system. After my graduation from New Earth College, I started to work in a rehabilitation centre with great people, who have helped me and guided me to find my own technique. Now I am working with my husband, a MD and Osteopath, from whom, I’ve learn a lot about muscle skeletal disorders and sport trauma.
Through my continues education, I look for some different approach to my patient’s health problem. As a Registered Acupuncturist, I face, on a daily basis, patients whose imbalance resides at levels deeper than the physical. In fact, trauma to the mind and spirit can itself be the cause of a myriad of physical symptoms.
I strongly believe that the human body is a complete unit, a self-regulating and self-healing mechanism. I have an eclectic practice where I see patients of all ages and diverse health problems, but my special interest is women's health, depression disorders and addiction problems.
